About Close Quarters Carry
Close Quarters Carry isn’t a factory. It isn’t a warehouse.
It’s me — one guy in Southwest Florida, building holsters by hand.
Before this business existed, my life looked very different. I was living on disability, picking up odd jobs where I could, just trying to get by. Then COVID hit… and suddenly I got a letter from the government telling me I was “cured.”
I’m a below-knee amputee — but according to the system, my leg had apparently grown back.
After trying (and failing) to find any real legal or bureaucratic fix, I did the only thing I could do: I emptied my pockets, looked at what I actually had, and figured out how to survive.
I’d made a few holsters over the years for friends. It had always been a hobby — something I loved, but had given up on. With no real options left, I dug back in. I started pressing Kydex in a hot, non-air-conditioned aluminum shed, selling holsters to neighbors, friends, and anyone willing to give me a shot.
I knew from day one I was never going to compete with Amazon or mass-produced gear. So instead, I decided to do the opposite.
I focused on making the most customized, high-end holsters I possibly could, while still keeping prices fair and business honest. No gimmicks. No hype. Just solid gear that actually works, made by someone who cares.
Fast forward five years.
Close Quarters Carry is now my full-time livelihood. I’ve been recognized for my work — including being awarded Best of Florida in Manufacturing, which still blows my mind considering I’m a one-man holster shop that started in a shed (it’s slightly bigger and air-conditioned now… progress).
Every holster you see here is still built by me. I form it, wrap it, tune it, and ship it myself. And every single one gets a little better than the last — because I genuinely believe that if you’re not doing better today than you did yesterday, there’s no point getting up tomorrow.
When you order from Close Quarters Carry, you’re not just buying a holster.
You’re helping a real person support their family, keep the lights on, and keep pushing a craft forward that I take a lot of pride in.
Thanks for being here.
Let’s build something that fits your life — and your draw — perfectly.
